Walking alongside people through what matters

The work that's always energized him most is sitting with someone in an honest conversation — helping them think clearly, see what they couldn't see alone, and take a meaningful next step.

Pastoral Counseling, Life Coaching, and Executive Coaching are simply where nearly 30 years of that same instinct has led.

That's what drew him into six years of cross-cultural ministry in Thailand, where showing up well for someone often meant slowing down, paying attention, and learning to truly hear them on their terms, not his own. It's what he carried into five years as an assistant pastor, and eleven years planting and pastoring a church here in San Francisco — years full of walking with people through successes, failures, marriages, grief, loss, doubt, and decisions that mattered.

For the past five years, that same drive and instinct has shown up in nonprofit leadership, coaching development teams and navigating organizational complexity. Alongside that work, his eight years in residential real estate have given him firsthand insight into high-stakes market pressures, financial negotiations, and the weight of important life decisions.

A Little More Personally

He’s starting his 30th year of marriage to Caroline this year — still his best friend and favorite person to journey through life with. Together they have three grown kids and an empty nest, along with a suspicious amount of quiet in the condo they’re still learning to adjust to. They’re managing.

Home is San Francisco, California, where he enjoys the energy, beauty, and endless possibilities of the city.

He’s an Enneagram 7, which explains his love for new ideas, fresh experiences, and whatever adventure might be around the corner.

His happy place? Any beach, listening to the waves.

On the move: Most mornings, you’ll find him running before the sun is fully up. He has brought that endurance into running marathons from Thailand to the historic Boston Marathon. Most weekends are spent connecting with family and friends — with a good chance he’s also thinking about his next adventure. When he's not hitting the pavement, you can find him out on the golf course, or getting back into a renewed favorite hobby: skimboarding.

Marketplace Experience: Alongside his ministry work, Troy has spent the last eight years as a licensed residential real estate agent. Navigating the fast-paced, high-stakes world of real estate has given him firsthand insight into the intense marketplace pressures, financial negotiations, and career transitions his professional clients face daily.

An unexpected note: After spending six years in Thailand, he can still hold a conversation in Thai. Just don't ask him to discuss taxes or car repairs.
